Time: Any time during opening hours when the Tina Phillips Room (computer room) has not been booked for a specific group. These times are currently:

Monday	Job Search (Job Club) 10:00 to 4:00 Free use 9:00 to10:00; 4:00 to 5:30
Tuesday	Free use: 1:00 to 5:30
Wednesday	Free use: 1:00 to 5:30
Thursday	Free use: 4:00 to 5:30
Friday	Free use: ALL DAY

Learn My Way (online basics): Mondays, alongside Job Club.

Except when the I.T. Suite (Tina Phillips Room) is being used for classes, access to 12 desktop computers is available to the public during the above opening hours. We currently have five PCs and seven Apple iMacs, all of which run Microsoft Office or the equivalent and have full internet access. In addition, the iMacs have a range of specialist programs covering digital photography, illustration, and desktop publishing. Several computers have software for blind and vision-impaired users (which comes as standard on the iMacs), and there are three desks for disabled users. Other specialist equipment (e.g. large-print keyboard and trackball) is available on request.

Headphones are available to prevent customers from being disturbed by one individual.

We ask that anyone wishing to use the computers report to the Reception office first, and also that they sign in at the front door.

Computer access is FREE and, unless told otherwise, there is no time limit to computer sessions.

HYCC is a certified UK Online centre, and anyone who wishes can sign up to Learn My Way, a free national online basic I.T. course which can be accessed from any computer, can be worked on at your own pace and in your own time, and leads to a certificate. Specialist help is available for guidance through the course on Mondays during Job Club (10:00am to 4:00pm.).

Please note that we would like you to finish your computer session by 5:30pm on Monday to Thursday and by 5:00pm on Fridays. The computers are not available at weekends.
